Due to the requirements for full road closures and a good tarmac surface to race on, the race is held in Bonjedward.

 

Race Registration and initial event parking is at Bonjedward Garage (TD8 6SL) from 9:00am. After the start of the race, the athletes' cars and and friends/family/supporters' cars are relocated from Bonjedward Garage to the car park at the Caddy Mann restaurant (TD8 6TJ) at Mounthooly on the A698.

 

The race route is basically an out-and-back. Starting at Bonjedward Garage the race heads down a steep hill before turning right onto the A698. The route then heads east along this road for 5km before turning and heading back west towards Jedburgh. The finish line is on the A698 at the banner approximately 70 metres after the turning for the car park at the Caddy Mann Restaurant.

The event is manually timed by a ScottishAthletics race timekeeper using stopwatches.

​

Refreshments will be available at the finish line. Once the event has concluded, all competitors and their friends/family/supporters are invited to drive in a convoy to Jedburgh Rugby Football Club at Riverside Park (TD8 6UE) to attend the meal and prizegiving ceremony which will be held in the clubrooms.

There are changing and showering facilities for competitors:

Men: Jed Thistle Pavilion (off Lothian car park)

Women: Leisure Centre (opposite Lothian car park across the A68)

Please remember that the A698 from Kelso will be shut from 10:00am.

Also please be aware that the Jedburgh half marathon and 10K starts at 11:00am in the town centre so Jedburgh will be busy, traffic diversions will be in place, and if you are planning to use the public car parks in town (Lothian car park and Canongate car park) we expect that these will fill up well in advance of the wheelchair and hand cycle race start.
